Des Moines development firm Blackbird Investments plans to build an office, hotel and housing development on the north side of Iowa City, a project one company official said would be worth “hundreds of millions of dollars.” The project named Forest View would sit on about 55 acres in area known as “the Peninsula” sandwiched between Interstate 80 and the Iowa River, just west of North Dubuque Street.
