New Americas CEO for Radisson Hotel Group

Radisson Hotel Group named Jim Alderman CEO for the Americas. A 34+ year hospitality veteran, Alderman will be based in the company’s U.S. headquarters in Minnetonka, MN, and will oversee its corporate offices and more than 680 hotels in the Americas.

Alderman most recently served as EVP/chief development officer at Extended Stay America, where he started the company’s franchising group.

Graves Hospitality Obtains $12M Refi for Uptown Minneapolis Hotel

Graves Hospitality has obtained $12.3 million in financing for Moxy Minneapolis Uptown, a 125-key boutique hotel in the Twin Cities. The borrower will use loan proceeds to refinance the original construction loan for the Marriott-branded property. JLL Capital Markets arranged the five-year, fixed-rate mortgage with a flexible pre-payment structure with a newly formed debt fund.

Element by Westin Opens in Bloomington

A 142-room Element by Westin Hotel recently opened near the Mall of America in Bloomington, Minnesota.  The hotel is a Marriott franchise, owned and managed by Park City, Utah, developer Terratron.

Located at 2400 E. 82nd Street, the new hotel features Studio Common Connector rooms, which offer a a large communal space with adjacent guest rooms designed for people traveling together or coworkers collaborating on a project.
